All Green Electronics Recycling is a full service electronics recycler serving both consumers and industry. We have the breadth of services, depth of resources, and nationwide partners and facilities capable of serving the recycling needs of all industries. We currently collect over one million pounds of electronics per month and we have the capacity to process up to 100 million pounds of electronic waste (e-waste) per year.

The Requirements

To be a good fit for this opportunity you will have:
  • A bachelor's degree.

    • Develop strategy, programs and plans that anticipate growth and are flexible.
    • Execute on strategy, programs and plans, both as a leader and making hands-on contributions.
  • Experience managing at least five direct reports, including hiring and training staff.
  • Strong self-motivation and the ability to achieve goals independently (lots of job descriptions talk about this, but these characteristics are essential to success at All Green because we are a new company and our processes and training systems are not developed). You will need to learn and act on your own with very little direction.
  • Flexibility and adaptability.
Experience in the following is preferred but not required:
  • Selling and/or marketing to Fortune 1000 clients and/or municipal agencies.
  • Working in startup, new division or other strong growth environments.
  • Selling and/or marketing in the environmental sector, ideally e-waste recycling.
You also will need to be willing and able to travel up to 10% of the time.

The Role

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will assume leadership of existing sales and marketing functions. Your mission will be to assess current strategies and then build on strengths and address any weaknesses, from focusing the vision to executing the strategy. A key goal will be building and developing sales and marketing teams totaling at least 20 people. We're wide open to your suggestions, even a "blank slate" makeover, as long as you can present a compelling case.

Currently we have two people doing marketing along with other responsibilities and six in sales, primarily inside sales. While we'll look to you to recommend the structure and staffing, right now one idea is to have three to four Supervisors reporting to you, one in Marketing and two or three in Sales, with a staff of perhaps two in Marketing and as many as 15 in Sales.   • Determining the best structure for both teams, such as the right balance of inside and outside staff.
  • Developing any necessary infrastructure, policies and procedures.
  • Developing and implementing strategies and programs for both Sales and Marketing, ensuring that they complement one another.
  • Coaching and training existing staff, and hiring and training additional staff as needed.
  • Determining which functions we might outsource.
  • Establishing and managing budgets for each area.

This role calls for strategic leadership, but that is just the beginning; you also will need to execute on that strategy and that will require you to "roll up your sleeves" from time to time. There are currently no formal policies and procedures around sales, and many of the common practices that exist are flawed and need to be changed. If you need a playbook to know what to do next, this isn't the role for you. You'll need to hit the ground running and take initiative for making things happen. For example, if you find a situation in which policies and procedures are not clear, you'll make sure they are. You also will need to be resourceful and self-motivated in a lean business model.

  • We currently have over 200 points of collection for old and outdated electronics throughout the US, offering free drop-off for most electronics including computers, laptops, monitors, printers, cell phones, televisions, and many other used electronics. Depending on the types of electronics, quantity of items, and location, we even offer free pickups in many instances.
  • We offer corporate clients a breadth of data security options for erasing or shredding discs.
  • For customers who own or manage computer equipment that is resalable, All Green will dismantle, remove, refurbish if necessary, and prepare it for resale.
