Sales Executive
CA - Tustin
Opportunity Snapshot
If you are a proven consultative sales professional, this position offers you a good deal of autonomy to pursue your goals the way you know best, and the opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing leader in the burgeoning green technology/recycling space. You will source, land and grow B2B accounts across the country, offering a full line of electronics recycling and IT asset management services. Quick question for you - click here We are hiring with an eye to the future, and your success in this role could set you up to move into sales management or along other career paths in our organization. Sales plays a pivotal role in our company: we started about two years ago and our CEO has direct experience with sales, so we understand the challenges you face. We offer a base salary plus unlimited commission potential.
All Green Electronics Recycling is a full service electronics recycler serving both consumers and industry. We have the breadth of services, depth of resources, and nationwide partners and facilities capable of serving the recycling needs of all industries. We currently collect over one million pounds of electronics per month and we have the capacity to process up to 100 million pounds of electronic waste (e-waste) per year. We do not send anything to developing nations for processing and are proud to be certified as one of 70 e-Stewards on the planet.
The Role
Reporting to the Director, Sales & Marketing, you will join a sales team that includes five others and is growing. You'll focus on developing business in the areas in which your background is strongest, but we don't limit anyone on the sales team: as long as an account doesn't already belong to someone else, you'll be able to pursue it.
In a nutshell, you will connect with IT managers, IT Directors and CTO/CIOs regarding IT asset recovery, secure data destruction services, product destruction and electronics recycling. The sales you land will include "appetizers" and "sandwiches," but your main goal will be the "steak dinners." Often a smaller sale leads to a larger one, such as growing a local account into a national one. As you might expect, the sales cycle for an "appetizer" is fairly short, while for the "steak dinners" the cycle can be several months.

Why All Green
Impact now and later -- we've only begun to explore the many markets open to us, and with your sales skills and particular background, you should be able to score some early victories. Over time you'll be able to build on that momentum, leveraging the relationships you build to bring in new customers, turn one-offs into repeat business, and grow your existing accounts.
Career options -- our goal today is to hire the next layer of management for tomorrow. Depending on your aptitude, ambition and performance, you might move up into sales management, open a new satellite office or even run a new division.
Incredible growth at multiple levels -- the green technology/recycling sector is one of the fastest growing fields in the world; consider the expanding interest in green solutions, the explosion in the production of electronic devices and the rapid pace of change in technology. Add to that All Green's own growth: from a company of a single employee two years ago, we have grown to a team of nearly 70; we recently experienced 15% growth in the number of employees. This is an exciting, high-energy time to join us.
Great sales environment -- we're asking for a track record of success, so there's no reason to demand that you change your ways; as long as you're delivering results we'll give you the elbow room you need. To keep motivation and enthusiasm high, we sponsor friendly competitions on the sales team and recognize and reward success. At the same time, because sales drives the company, the entire sales team is held to a high standard of performance.
Excellent compensation -- you provide the drive and entrepreneurial spirit, and we'll provide a compensation plan that motivates you and rewards your success. We offer a competitive base plus commission package, and a strong performer should be making six figures within a year. In addition we offer benefits, including healthcare insurance, a soon-to-be-implemented 401(k) plan and stock options for tenured employees.
Keys to Success
We'll provide support when you need it, but in a fast-paced startup, the people who succeed are those who can "hit the ground running" and who are resourceful about getting what they need. We are in a niche position, so relationship building is just as important as closing or cold calling; you'll need to be able to penetrate accounts, find out what is going on, close the initial sale, and then grow that account. You'll help customers facilitate a responsible end-of-life recycling/reuse solution to consumer electronics and high end IT related hardware, so you'll need to be a credible consultant and the kind of person people trust. We are looking for long-term employees who will help us breed a culture of growth -- personally, professionally and financially.
